Jaco Booyens is an American international speaker, film producer, and entrepreneur. His focus is combatting human trafficking.  Booyens has produced films and engaged in seminars and interviews all addressing human trafficking. He is the founder of Jaco Booyens Ministries and Sharetogether.

Jaco is 45 years old as of 2022. He was born in South Africa but later relocated to the United States.  Jaco was raised by a single mother and is the first born in a family of 3 children. He met his wife Philipa A. Booyens, who is a writer and entertainer as well. They Married on November 3rd, 2007. The couple will be celebrating their 15th anniversary in 2022. Jaco and Philipa have been blessed with three children: two girls and one boy.

Jaco managed to play in the Canadian Football League and later the National Football League in the United States.

Jaco joined an organization called Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ (AMTC), founded by Millie Lewis and her daughter Carey Lewis, which aims at connecting talented people with agents, directors, and managers. Tim Urban, Taylor Beckam, and Julian Silva are all products of AMTC.

Together with his wife, they founded an entertainment organization called After Eden Pictures, which represents Jaco’s new passion. Booyens is using the entertainment industry’s power to create awareness of sex and human trafficking.

The entertainment organization is just an extension of his main work, which is speaking on sex and human trafficking through Jaco Booyens Ministries and Sharetogether. He is a sought-out speaker invited to different countries suffering from this societal issue. He also encourages people to follow Christian Principles.

Jaco would probably be managing his own entertainment company, focusing on entertaining things. His life changed, when his sister’s, Ionka Deaton, changed. Ionka was an innocent girl passionate about singing and a champion at national music competitions by age 12. Just before her 13th birthday, Ianko was performing all over South Africa and living the life of a promising upcoming star.

One day, her manager, who had become a family friend, gave her a ride. The ride remains one, that Ilonka will never forget. Her manager grabbed her with his strength and raped her. A girl barely 13 years old.

He told her he loved her and threatened to kill her if she said. For 6 years, Ilonka’s manager turned her into a sex slave sold to different people around the music industry. It was until she was 17 that she was rescued from her predator when the police caught him in the act.

Although Ilonka was rescued. Her mind wasn’t. At 19, her family relocated to the United States. Three times she attempted to commit suicide because the feelings of shame and guilt were overwhelming. Her life took a good turn when she attended Christ Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee.

There, she had an encounter with Jesus Christ. Once again in her life, she felt joy as if she was a 10-year-old. Walking through the feeling once again was scary but she had assured hope. And indeed, Christ transformed her life. Now, she is a married woman with children. In Williamson Herald, Ilonka states her sex has been changed, and her view of men renewed.
