Sandie later became a researcher for W5. One of her greatest achievements was her remote assignment to New York City, where, together with other colleagues, covered The Bankruptcy of New Work, a story, which received an award.
In 1976, Sandie joined Canada AM, where she was a producer focused on federal and provincial politics. One year later, Rinaldo became the overall reporter for Canada AM, where she got an opportunity to travel across the world. During her time as an anchor for Canada, Rinaldo had the opportunity to interview Bob Marley. The interview went sour on her because the public accused her of disrespecting the music legend. Years later in an interview, Rinaldo regretted having asked the Music icon some questions.
Sandra occupied her current position in 1985 and also continued producing W5, Canada’s most-watched documentary show. She has also been the host of Fame and Family 2000 and “Magnificent Moms: A Celebration of Motherhood” 1998.
