She began honing her skills at Trojan Vision Television where she worked as a producer for a show called The Scoop. There, she interviewed celebrities and held movie premiers and red-carpet events.
She later worked for Annenberg TV News as an anchor, producer, reporter, and multimedia journalist. From February 2016 to July 2022, she worked as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter. She announced in July 2022, that she would be joining Hearst Television as a White House Correspondent.
She covered the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe V Wade’s decision over abortion which had been the law for almost 50 years, the wildfires in New Mexico, and the Uvalde school shooting. While at KVUE she was awarded the Lone Star Regional Emmy Award in 2020.
Recently, Norwood has been covering the situation in the white house and the conflict between China and the US. She has reported on the instances where the US shot down Chinese surveillance balloons seen in American airspace. Norwood has also laid out the plans that President Biden has for America in his last year as president.
