Farah Jadran Biography

Farah Jadran is an American journalist working as an anchor and reporter at KING 5 Media Group. Jadran learned early that becoming a regular on the screen would require hard work and a bit of creativity. Instead of pursuing to be an anchor, she focused on honing her writing skills. Within a few years, she made it to her destination. Throughout her career, she has worked at Time Warner Cable News, NewsChannel 9 WYSR, Syracuse Woman Magazine, and as an Editor at Eagle Newspapers.

Jadran was born on 17th October 1988/9 in East Syracuse. She comes from a family of three children born to Mohammad and Jeanie Jadran. Her father, who was a machine operator, passed away in 2016. Her father grew up in Mexico while her mother was Spanish. Jadran described her family as close and supportive, especially in times of need. Jadran holds her faith close to her, which is also a building block to her principles and values. Becoming a journalist was always her childhood dream. She practiced being an anchor using colored markers and microphones gifts from her mother. As she aged, the dream became clear and clear. She joined Colorado State University-Pueblo where she pursued a degree in Mass Communications. At school, she participated as an editor for CSU-Pueblo TODAY Magazine. She also ran the marketing of the magazine and planned events for the magazine. After three years, she got another opportunity at Time Warner Cable News where she worked as a Social Media Manager responsible for supporting media outlets associated with Time Warner Cable News. She taught the news team strategies and social media opportunities that can assist with the growth of the team.

Working as a writer, was a strategy she used to realize her childhood dreams. In 2015, her dreams finally materialized. Jadran joined NewsChannel 9 WSYR as a morning reporter and anchor responsible for reporting local news, shooting, and editing her own news packages. After 4 years, she joined CNY Central as an anchor of CBS 5 This Morning and at Noon. She delivered local stories, breaking News, and the local forecast. She occupied her present position in 2021. Jadran serves as an anchor at KING 5 News in Seattle.
