Judayah Murray Biography
Judayah Murray is an American entertainment journalist working as a host, producer, and reporter by way of New Hartford. She has a passion for helping people tell their stories by sharing with their laughter and tears of joy. She worked for News 12 as the host of On A Positive Note and a Youtuber for the Channel Judayah Murray previously called Black Girls YouTube Too.
Judayah Murray’s Age and Husband
She was born on 20th April 1996 and raised in New Hartford, New York. She has close ties with her family and sibling. Judayah involves herself with events and celebrations happening in her sibling and parent’s life. Concerning marriage, Judayah is single as her focus is growing in her career and becoming better at it.
Judayah Murray Education
The dream of becoming a journalist was clear when she was young. In New Hartford Senior Highschool, she was active learning people skills, which she would use later in life. She was a director of the School Newspaper Sales and Marketing, President of the World Language Club, a Pianist at Southern Missionary Baptist Church, and the treasure of the Journalism Club.
She later joined Howard University where she studied Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Like High School, Murray involved herself in several activities and societies. She was the host of Battle of the Sexes and its content creator and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Driven by desire, she went to Columbia University for her MSC in Journalism. There, she joined the National Association of Black Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists. She became familiar with journalism after interacting with experienced journalists in the associations.
Judayah Murray Career
Murray started her YouTube Channel in 2014. Its mission was to remind people of successful black women hence the name Black Girls YouTube Too. She later changed the name to her personal name as she had become famous on social media.
While in school, Judayah worked on her love for photography by starting as a freelancer. She worked with Urbanworld Film Festival, the HBCU Business Expo, Black Female Photographers Day, and the Shea Yeleen Cocoa Lounge.
Seeing her thriving in the entertainment industry, News 12 gave her an opportunity as a Host and Multimedia Producer. At 7 in the morning, she hosted a 2-minute digital newscast for Bronx and Brooklyn. She covered crime, drugs, Protests, and others just to name a few. In 2019, she got promoted to Senior Multimedia Journalist where she became the host of On A Positive Note, a series noting uplifting stories that happen during the week. In the program, she covered stories giving people hope, showing the good side of people, and other heartwarming stories. On 24th August 2022, her time at News12 came to a close, according to her announcement on Twitter. She thanked the network for giving her an opportunity to represent her ideas.
