She is a nationally-recognized speaker, blogger, and author. Her main talks are abortion, dealing with grief, and recovery.
Sarah Mae Age, Family, and Husband
Her date of birth is 6th February 1980. Sarah grew up in two areas: Alaska with her mother and Pennsylvania with her father. Her parents had divorced earlier due to frequent misunderstandings on both sides. By the time, Sarah understood the source of the disagreements, she had become a victim. However, she rose from becoming a victim to a victor. As of 2022, she is a married woman with three children. Her husband is Jesse Hoover, a woodwork expert. They tied the knot on 2nd August 2003.
Sarah Mae Story
The story of Sarah took a turn around when she went to live with her mother whom she thought was cool. As a child, she naively wanted to be like her. In fact, she was unfazed by her mother’s decision to marry a 20-something-year-old man, who happened to be her 4th husband. The reality of her mother’s behavior kicked in after living with her for some time. She was toxic, abusive, and manipulative. Worse, she was an alcoholic and never admitted it.
Sarah’s mother was supposed to be her source of love, care, and appreciation. Lack of love at home led Sarah to seek love outside. The best person to give was her boyfriend. But instead of love, Sarah got pregnant at 16 years.
On her blog, Sarah describes this experience as one of her worst. She felt alone and abandoned. Many gave her solutions all of which made no sense. Sarah called her father hoping to get a solution. Her father, embarrassed by the situation, opted for an abortion. Sarah’s both grandmothers accepted the solution offered. Although Sarah wanted to keep the child, she had to bow to her senior’s demands. They organized an abortion under a different name.
The guilt of abortion haunted Srah for months. The feeling felt worse than carrying an unwanted child. The grief was too much because she felt like a murderer. When she was in the deepest pit of despair, her victory was close than she thought. She met a woman who gave space and place to grief. The woman later introduced her to the Bible.
For the first time in a long time, Sarah understood the Bible. The scriptures made sense and related to her situation. She finally learned what Jesus Christ meant when he said he came to set captives free. Sarah’s belief was confirmed. Her burden was lifted and she became a free woman.
Misery to Victory
