Sabrina Silva Biography
Sabrina Silva is a definition of grit, determination, and unrelenting ambition. She came to the United States as a disadvantaged immigrant. Now, she is a highly recognized journalist. A former colleague described her as a person with a fantastic attitude and an admired work ethic. He continued by adding that her passion is telling stories as they are and giving people an opportunity to have a voice. She works as a reporter for 7 News Boston. Prior, Sabrina worked at CBS, WJACM, KNOE, and WGCL.
Sabrina Silva Age and Family
She was born on 22nd August 1993 in Mina Gerais, Brazil. At age 10, the family relocated to Philadelphia, United States. Settling in the United States was difficult as they had to adapt to the new culture. With sheer determination and few options available, Sabrina and her family made it to live a comfortable life. Learning to work hard from as early as age 14 has made Sabrina value her work above many things including having relationships. As of 2022, we can say that Sabrina is single.
Education
She grew up in Brazil dreaming of becoming a great person in life. In an Instagram post, Sabrina stated that teachers in Brazil told her she would amount to nothing. When her family settled in the United States, Sabrina became determined to upset her teachers back in Brazil. She joined Abington High School where the idea of becoming a journalist was birthed. This dream led her to Temple University where she did broadcast journalism.
Her journalism dream started when she worked as a writer for Alo Voce Magazine. She later interned at Bravo, Virginia Dock Photography, NBC Olympics, and NBC Universal. Working as an intern taught her the ropes of journalism. She learned to create news, write articles, scripts, and edit. She also became an expert in storytelling and interviewing people while reporting.
Career
The internship experience gave her the confidence to join KNOE-TV, as her first journalism official job. She worked there for 6 months as a reporter and later an as anchor and reporter at WJAC-TV. At the station, she got the opportunity of expanding her skills as she learned the art of producing news and working with software to edit visual content.
After 1 year, she went to Sacramento to work as a reporter for CBS Corporation for another 1 year and another 1year at WGCL as a reporter. In January 2022, Sabiran announced to her Instagram fans that she would be joining 7 News WHDH as a reporter.
As a journalist, she has covered local stories that have helped many residents in Boston. Silva has covered the story of the arrest of a man alleged in Martha’s Vineyard Bank Robbery, Shooting in Roxbury, the Arrest of a school janitor on allegations of child porn, and the shutdown of the Orange line.
