If you are a fan of television you have most probably come across Cristina Carpio. The media is perhaps her second home. Carpio is a content creator, brand expert, TV host, and television personality working at one of Canada’s leading stations, CTV.
Her passion for fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment led her to start Evolve Media Group. Prior to her own magazine, Carpio was the editor-in-chief for Marquee Magazine. Her experience makes her an expert at storytelling, fashion, lifestyle, and entertainment.

Carpio identifies as an Asian Canadian. She was born on 17th April 1980 in the Philippines. She came from a poor background but out of it created the desire to become successful. At age 13, Carpio’s mother had to leave her children to work in Canada. For three years, Carpio cared for her siblings until she got a student visa to Canada.
In her endeavors to become successful, Capio got into a relationship that led to her daughter Dannica, who is 18 years old as of 2023. Carpio’s relationship with her ex did not last. The two had to separate. As of now, we can say Cristina is a single mother.
Education and Career
Growing up, Carpio wanted to be in the media and broadcasting industry. This desire led her to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism, which ushered her into the media industry. Her first job was editor-in-chief at a national lifestyle publication magazine called Marquee Magazine whose core values were to inspire, educate and enrich Canadians.
Carpio worked there as a creative content creator, event organizer, and digital media expert. She also worked as a head of marketing with Quantum Enterprise and Mercedes-Benz Burlington.
On January 2022, Carpio announced her departure from MarQuee. She later announced her own magazine called Evolve Magazine whose core roles would be lifestyle and entertainment.
Evolve magazine also included Evolve Shop, an e-commerce platform selling more than 10,000 items that promote health and wellness. On the side, she works as a weather, traffic, and entertainment journalist at CTV Morning Live.
In other areas, Cristina has been a columnist for Food and Beverage Magazine in a section called Carpio’s CorneE. She is also a Canadian Ambassador for Vizeat, an immersive dining platform. She is also an event emcee and has campaigned for several luxury brands.
Cristina has used her talent and platforms to promote content that brings value to the community. The results of her works have earned her recognition and awards.
Business Media Link Group awarded her top 40 under 40 for business achievement, The Canadian Multicultural Council-Asian in Ontario awarded her the Hero of Business Award, and lastly one of the Top 75 Canadian Immigrant Awards. She gives back to her community by participating actively in the Asian community in Canada.
