She was born on 28th September 1998 and raised in Tyrone, Georgia. She is a sibling to Jibre Hodges who is a creative artist. Growing up in a Christian family, Aleah knows the value of being in a stable relationship as her parents taught her. Her grandfather was a senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Mt Auburn and the lead pastor at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptists Church. Currently, her career and business remain her top priority. From a young age, Aleah has displayed elements of aggressiveness in doing the things she loves. This trait was evident when she was a student at Sandy Creek High School. Later, she did a degree in mass communication and a minor in English at Savannah State University.
After graduating, she started working as a freelance writer for FAME Magazine. She wrote entertainment, lifestyle, and political stories. Aleah began her career when she joined TV6 and FOX UP as an anchor and multimedia journalist. Her diaries were editing stories, creating content for social media pages, and filling in for other anchors.
She worked there for 2 years before joining WTKR as a reporter and an MMJ. At WTKR, she was assigned to do daily enterprise stories and post stories on social media. After another 2 years, she joined WISH-TV where she worked for 3 years as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
In 2022, the young journalist joined WKRC-TV as an anchor. 10 months in the station have been fruitful for Aleah. She has covered news such as the 8th annual Indiana Run for the Fallen, the 54th anniversary of the late President Robert F Kennedy’s assassination. and the opening of the community justice campus in Indianapolis-Marionn County.
