Modeling Career
The title Fashion Santa did not come without its challenges as Yorkdale’s Mall claimed the name Fashion Santa. Yorkdale Mall and Paul Mason struck a Fashion Santa ad campaign deal. In 2015, the ad went viral, attracting thousands of people to the mall including music star, Justin Beiber who wanted to take a selfie with him. For two years the mall and Paul Mason battled for the ownership of the brand.
By the end of the second year, the parties struck a deal and Mason was given exclusive rights to name Fashion Santa.
Mason battled for the name because it had sentimental value. Becoming Fashion Santa was never in his wildest dreams. It came after his mother died of cancer. In moments of grief, Paul spent time isolated and unshaven. After 6 months, the beard became big and bushy. He liked it and naturally, the beard started its own life.
Although there have been many Santas in the past, Paul offers a different character. One with elegance, class, and a touch of adulthood unlike the famous one popular for his relationship with children. His modeling career has blended well with this new brand.
He has taken many photos and selfies with people. Mimicking the real idea of Santa, Paul uses the money for charity, helping children and people in need.
