Erika Cramer Biography
The twists and turns of life can either turn you into a wreck or a person of power. Erika Cramer did not have the option of the former. She was already a wreck the only option to be was to become a person of great confidence. As life unfolded, she became this confident person. Cramer has become a best-selling author, podcaster, international speaker, and coach. Here is her grass-to-grace story.
Erika Cramer Age, Family and Husband
She was born on 17th June 1983 in Boston, America. Her childhood experience almost deemed her hopes of becoming a person of value. She was raised by a single mother who suffered from mental illness and bipolar. Cramer spent most of her childhood visiting the mental hospital and with her foster family.
Her way out of the misery came when she met Hamish Cramer who was working as a personal trainer in a gym in Australia. Like her, he was going through a journey of personal development. The two became close, shared their story, and shortly started dating. In 2014, they married and are now blessed with two children.
Trauma after Trauma
When she was 7 years, her mother took her on a trip. While driving she lost control after her illness kicked in. They hit a tree and the car was sent rolling over several times. Luckily, they survived and had to walk several miles for 3 days to a police station.
Her father who left the family when Erika was two years old took her from the police station to live with her in Puerto Rico. After 1 year, Erika reunited with her mother who was still suffering from bipolar.
At 16, Erika got tired of her awful experiences. She ran away from home and applied for the Us Army. She served there for ten years as a personal service specialist.
While in the Army, she met a man who later became her husband. The two lived the life of the party. Erika worked part-time as a model and hairstylist. One time they got caught in a drinking and drive accident that left her with a broken back and minor injuries to her husband.
The accident was a wake-up call to Cramer. To her husband, it was just another night gone wrong. In the following year, he drove while drunk and had an accident that led to his death.
The trauma was too much for Erika. Her only resort was moving to Australia. But even in her new location, the mental monster still pursued her. She spent more than $50k on retreats and training to fix her mental health. She also entered several relationships that made her mental condition worse.
Making of the Queen of Confidence
Finding solace after meeting her Hamish became the foundation of building the future of her family. In 2017 when they were broke and living in debt, Erika made a decision to quit her job and pursue her dream of becoming a confidence coach.
She started advertising herself on social media and engaging people on 1 on 1 basis. Slowly, her business started to scale. Three years into the business, she had reached over 300 students in 18 countries and had made 160k in a year.
She also started a podcast called The Confidence Chronicles Podcast where she talks about mental health, relationships, and ways to become more confident. Her story has also been featured in The Daily Telegraph, New Idea, Nova, Money, and other publications.
