Kennedy Dendy Biography
Many times we see journalists through their career lenses and we forget they are also human. It is always exciting to cover journalists’ stories to prove their humanity. In this article, we will do a mini-biography of Kennedy Dendy. Most Recently, Dendy was working as a reporter for Action News in Jacksonville, Florida. Now, now she works as a food blogger. Prior to this job, Dendy worked as a morning anchor, a reporter at Kezi 9 News, and as an intern at CBS This Morning.
Kennedy Dendy Age, Husband and Father
She was born on 15th December 1997. Dendy comes from a Christian family and lives by religion’s values. She has a twin brother called Kyle Dendy, a famous preacher in the country. Her mother is called Kimberly Dendy. In September 2023, The Dendy family will be remembering the death of Mr. Dendy after 20 years.
In an interview with the Voyage, Kennedy narrates how at 5 years old she found her father dead in the house after he committed suicide. Although she confesses to missing him, Kennedy reiterates the importance of mental health. Now as an adult, the journalist is active in the dating scene. She is in a relationship with Jamal Reynolds, an online fitness coach.
Education and Career
The journey to becoming a screen expert started when she was a child. Kennedy always admired women of color working as tv personalities. Before she joined college, Kennedy started working as a sports broadcaster. The experience gave her the desire to do journalism. In 2016, she joined Baylor University where she majored in Broadcast Journalism.
In school, she was active as a broadcast reporter for the Baylor Visions. Her duties were doing interviews with coaches, students, and fans. She was also active in the production department. In her junior year, she got an editorial internship opportunity at CNK Daily where she learned to create and release weekly roundups, prepare material for newsletters, and draft emails. In her final years, she interned at CBS This Morning in New York City.
She got her first employment at The Baylor Lariat as an anchor and reporter. The journalist wrote 2 or 3 weekly newscasts, interviewed people, hired new staff members, and conducted weekly meetings. Her final position in the news station was serving as an executive producer.
In 2020, Kennedy joined KEZI 9 News as a news reporter and anchor. While in KEZI she received an Emmy Award for doing the report Fire Wipes Out Small Town, Threatens City. She served there for 2 years before getting an opportunity at CBS47/FOX30 as a reporter in Action News Jax.
Kenndy was involved in covering some exciting stories just recently, she covered the story of a 5-year-old boy with an IQ of 150, which almost doubles the average IQ of Americans. Kennedy also did a story controversial youth risk behavior survey that had questions which parents criticized.
Outside Work, Salary, and Height
In February 2023, Kennedy stopped working as a journalist. She appears to be focusing on food blogging. She started a food blog account on Instagram where she travels to different restaurants across the country tasting and sharing the experience with her audience.
Outside work, Kennedy loves participating in community work. She is active in Church and community welfare organizations. The young journalist also loves engaging in physical exercise like her boyfriend.
