Boyd has the charisma that fits him in the media industry. He went to school at Western Kentucky University where he did a degree in Broadcasting and a minor in Psychology. He was also a sports writer for Bleacher Report where he created sports news for the websites. Boyd covered the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. After 1 year, he relocated to KSWT-TV to serve as a sports director, who performed MMJ duties and created an international sportscast, and website and social media content on a daily basis.
In 2014, he moved to Alabama to work as a sports director at Local 15 for 1 and a half years before moving to West Palm Beach in Florida as a sports anchor for WPTV NewsChannel 5 and FOX 29 WFLX. He produced more than 3 weekly packages and covered big events like the Conference USA Championship and Boca Raton Bowls.
Boyd stayed there for 5 years before making a move to WPECT and later to NBC South Florida where he stayed for 8 months before moving to Washington to work as a national News Correspondent for T&R Productions. In 2022, he made his latest move to WTVQ in Lexington as a News anchor.
