Olivia is a New York native born on 16th November 199/5. She is a daughter to Rosemarie Perez Jaquith and a sibling to Isabelle and Colton Perez. The family appears to be a mixture of Latin and white roots. Olivia is engaged to her long-time friend. The two could be having their wedding sometime in 2023 or in the future.
Education and Career
Glimpses of becoming a journalist were seen in Niskayuna High School where she was an Editor in Chief for the student-run newspaper, The Warrior. She depicted the same zeal at Marist College where she was doing a degree in sports communication. Olivia was a member of the Television Club and the Marist College Communication Arts Society.
In her sophomore, she interned at Times Union as an editorial intern who fast-checked the blogs, summarized opinion pieces, and published blog posts for a special show called Saratoga. In her junior, Olivia interned at CBS6 in the sports department. She rejoined the Time Union in her senior year as a sports intern who assisted the nations with writing and filming athletic events.
Her first major employment post-graduation was working as an air production intern doing on-air promotions. She worked her way to becoming the on-air production assistant who managed communications, promo editing, training interns, and hiring them. Olivia worked there for 2 years before joining WENY-TV in Elimira as a morning anchor and producer.
There, Jaquith wrote news, broke news, wrote and recorded radio headlines, conducted interviews, and scheduled social media posts. The journalist served at the station for 1 and a half years before becoming a digital multi-media journalist for 8 News. She engaged with online audiences on social media, optimized content on the web and social media, did in-depth videos and web stories, and wrote packages.
After 1 year Olivia was promoted to reporter. She has had the privilege to interview vice president Kamala Harris about the struggles of small businesses. Olivia has also done a report on strategies Richmond leaders are using to curb gun violence.
