Her passion for weather was triggered in her childhood. Natalie became passionate about learning the power of thunderstorms. This passion led her to the University of Houston where she majored in environmental and atmospheric science and a minor in geology.

She has covered extreme weather conditions like long winters, wildfires in California, and the launch of NASA rockets.
