Jimmy Rollins was born on 24 January 1974 in America. He is the son of Bishop James Rollins and his wife pastor Valarie Rollin. Bishop James served in the American Army as a soldier during the Vietnam War. In 1994, he founded the Church Living Waters Worship Center. Growing up Bishop James was the first of many things.
In 1961, he was the first student to desegregate the schools in Anne Arundel County, In Howard County he was the first head of the African American department. In his entire life, Bishop has many white friends as he had black.
His life created within his son a desire to see a similar life reflected by everyone in the color. As a grown-up adult, Jimmy Rolling is following up in the path of senior Rollins. He has followed the Christian religion and ways.
He is also married to Irene Rollins who also serves as a pastor. Irene Rollins is from a mixed race as his mother was Zambian American while her father was white. By the time Irene was 28 years old, she had three children and was living the life of her dreams, living in her own house and with a husband who was a full-time pastor.
Things started taking a different turn when Jimmy and Irene hit their 30s. At this time, Jimmy was given full responsibility for the church. Their hands were serving and taking care of the needs of their church members but their marriage was crumbling because of burnout. On one vacation, Irene took a little wine to ease herself from the stress of managing the church.
One glass of wine turned to a bottle and soon Irene was hiding vodka and drinking to blackout. She would binge on alcohol when Jimmy was on a trip.
Many times her children found her blacked out after binge drinking. Drinking alcohol led to more problems in her marriage with Jimmy. Jimmy complained about her behavior and how it was their reputation as leaders in the church.
Irene agreed to go to rehab after Jimmy gave her an ultimatum of leaving the marriage. At rehab, Irene learned to deal with her addiction. She learned more about what caused the addiction and how to address it.
She learned that her problem was a response to childhood trauma, depression, and ignoring her emotions. Embracing her shame through accountability groups, and Alcohol Anonymous led to her recovery.
She also came out open about her addiction and the struggles she experienced when trying to quit alcohol. Irene recovered from her addiction and her marriage and position in the Church were restored.
Speaking about his contribution to marriage problems and Irene’s addiction, Pastor Jimmy confessed that arguing and forcing Irene to change caused more problems in the marriage and sunk his wife into more addiction. After his wife’s recovery, they reconciled their differences in their marriage.

When Bishop James handed over the church to Pastor Jimmy Rollings, it was a sea of black people. The church had occasional white attendants and a janitor. Pastor Jimmy knew he had to change the church to embrace the current generation’s culture. He began by changing the name from Living Waters Worship Center to i5 City.
Pastor Jimmy Rollins also tested the attitude of his church members by putting two teenage white girls as homeless people on the way to Church. Later, the pastor asked Jimmy if any of his 600 congregants offered to help the white girls.
Only three people lifted their hands. It was a huge disappointment to the church and the pastor.
Since then, Jimmy has been focusing on bringing people of all races to the church. He changed from wearing tailored suits to t-shirts and jeans. His stunts led to the loss of one-third of its members.
Bishop James felt a different kind of pain after seeing his son sacrificing the church her had built for years. Still, he gave his son his blessings after learning that Jimmy was targeting a different kind of people.
Years now as a pastor, Pastor Jimmy’s church is becoming what he has been praying for. Pastor Jimmy Rollins went even further by dropping his ego and logo and joining his Church with Destiny Church led by Stephen and Zai Chandler in Easter 2021. The two churches formed We Are Union Church. Now. the two churches have an audience of more than 3,000 people per week.

After his marriage was saved, Pastor Jimmy focused on investing his time in talking and preaching about marriage. Together with his wife, they run a ministry called Two Equal One which comprises a podcast, private Facebook community access, and insider encouragement for members. Pastor Jimmy is also a regular speaker of XO Marriage, a nonprofit organization that organizes conferences and compiles resources and digital content for marriages.
