Inspired by her big sister, who was in entertainment, Ashley Blaine Featherson made a deliberate decision to become an actress. By the age of 14, she had already started to perform at the Studio Theater. Her passion for acting led her to pursue Fine Arts at Howard University.
After graduation, she attempted a few casting and acting roles in Maryland but had her eyes fixed on LA after frustrations. With just $98, $2,000 savings, and a truck of faith, Ashely traveled to LA.
With the help of her friend Dery Maia, she found a place to eat and sleep for the first few months. She started featuring in minor roles in short films while working part-time in various jobs.
