Having moved to the United States, Dunnie Onasanya lived a relatively good life because her parents were successful. She went to Tuskegee University where she earned a degree in Business administration. Dunnie later applied to Vis Arts and got accepted as a resident Artist.
Over the five years she has been doing her childhood dream, Dunnie Onasanya’s work has taken her across the country and abroad. She is passionate about doing expressive painting, abstract art, cultural masks, and historical symbols. She earned a feature at Hyundai’s national campaign, Casetify’s Black Artist Collective, and The Corks and Canvas Event.
Dunnie Onasanya has entirely changed her career path to what she is passionate about. Her work is therapeutic and a source of finance because she sells her pieces for at least $500.
