Although her behavior got her expelled and suspended from 3 different high schools, she had a determination to have her degree and perhaps a good job. In 1996 she graduated from high school and the following year, she joined John Jay College for studies in legal studies and a minor in writing.
She later got a job as an Asset Loan Officer at Dime Savings Bank after struggling g through school for 10 years. In 2010, she began a solo journey after being laid off from her job. Sunshine started as a co-owner at Je T’aime Shoes, a celebrity shore store, while building her consulting firm Sunny Legal Realty Group. While doing business, Sunshine had a fall down that almost ruined her whole life. She reconnected with her childhood friend, Aric Branch, with whom they went into business with. In 2013, the two were found in a conspiracy that landed them in jail for 2 years.
