Many times the passion to do what we do comes from an experience we had. To sports reporter Vanessa Richardson, her passion for sports stemmed from the times she attended basketball matches with her father. The experiences birthed an interest in covering sports. She now works as a Houston Rockets sideline reporter and a part-time host on NBC Sports.
She was born on 16th April 1994/5 in a small Town in Indiana. Vanessa had a close relationship with her father, who had multiple sclerosis. Unfortunately, her father died in 2022, leaving her children and wife of 32 years. Vanessa has not revealed much about her personal story. We have, however, observed that she is single.
After being ignited with a passion for sports at a young age, Vanessa started pursuing it as a student at the University of Indianapolis where she was studying communication. Vanessa also got an opportunity to work as a Freelance Motorsports host where she got to delve into the motorsports world. Her point of interest has been working as a sideline reporter for Houston Rockets where she interviewed coaches and players to get a depth knowledge of the status of the team. She gives updates on players’ injuries and transfers.
