Zaneta Lowe is 45 or 46 years old. She is married to Woodrow Lowe Jr and is blessed with three sons, Woodrow Trey III, who is an NFL player, Kyle, and Wade. The couple married on 18th July 1999.

Lowe worked her way into the industry of journalism in a society that was primarily male. The few black women that had succeeded to become journalists were enough to motivate Lowe to dream. And, she dreamed of becoming a journalist. She did well in high school and got an opportunity to study at the University of Alabama for a degree in communication. She excelled there graduating cum laude.
Finding an opportunity to work as a female black journalist was hard. However, with passion, hard work, and a bit of luck, she got an opportunity at WTVM, which was launching the consumer unit. Zaneta worked there as an anchor, reporter, and sometimes as an editor and producer. She excelled at her job and other media networks offered her an opportunity. Zaneta got the freedom to choose what would work best for her. She transferred to WVTM, in Birmingham and later to WVUA and other media outlets in Alabama. All her experience brought to light the skills she was offering the journalism industry. Her best deal came when she joined WREG IN 2011. The deal was lucrative for her and her family causing her to hold it to date. As of 2022 December, Zaneta would have served at WREG TV for 11 years.

Lowe’s experience as a journalist has been learning and unlearning. She has been valuable to the community by revealing information that was once hidden. Lowe brought to light the unexplained deaths of children at the hands of the state government. In her coverage of crime, she had exposed unlicensed car dealers, dangerous nursing homes, and poor taxpayer-funded houses. These reports have shaped society and journalism as well, earning her recognition at the Emmy and Associated Press Awards.
In Memphis, Zaneta and her special project team have done monumental reports such as special reports that unveiled the race relations economic barriers, and criminal justice experienced in Memphis. They also did another report covering struggles Memphis continues to endure since the death of Martin Luther King. This report earned a nomination for the Emmy 2018.
