Dating is one of the hardest times young Christians face when looking for a spouse because the Christian is not supposed to look for a spouse as the people of the world do. The world’s way might be easy because once a person gets to bed with a potential spouse the relationship is good to go but for a Christian, the first time to get to bed together happens after their wedding. Tovares Grey saw the challenges people faced and the failures they had when dating. He started Godly Dating 101 after getting tired of seeing people getting it wrong in matters of relationships. Now, Tovares is a father, husband, believer, and social media content creator for Christian stuff and matters relating to relationships.
Personal Details
Tovares was born on 7th August 1992 in Miami, Florida. He grew up in a neighborhood famous for drugs and crime. However, by God’s grace, he managed to survive since he was an active member of the Church. Being a Christian, Tovares has purposed to live a life that represents Christ. He went through the dating experience in the Christian way and married in a Godly way. Grey married Safa Grey on 10th December 2016. Together, the couple is blessed with two children.
Education and Work
Grey grew up a focused and disciplined child. He studied at Broward College where he pursued an Associate of Arts. Later he went to the University of South Florida to study Bachelor of Science and majored in Health Sciences. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s in Health Administration at the University of South Florida.
As a student, Grey worked at Abercrombie and Fitch as a Retail Sales Associate where he talked to clients inviting them to purchase items from the shop. He later joined the United States Navy, where he is serving as the Hospital Corpsman.
Tovares Grey Godly Dating 101
From a young age, Grey never shied from publicly announcing his belief in Jesus Christ. On Instagram, he started posting Christian content. He noticed that people were hungry for advice. Hundreds began flocking to his DM and others following him to get an opportunity to read what he would post. Seeing the growth of his Instagram page, Grey decided to make the page a platform where relationship problems would be addressed in a Godly way.
The motivation to start a relationship platform not only stemmed from Instagram but also from what Grey had observed. A lot of people, Christians included, suffered from a poor understanding of matters of relationships and many relationships failed because of reasons the couples could avoid.
In response to this problem, Grey decided to start advising people on matters regarding relationships. One of his major pieces of advice to people dating is encouraging them to establish their relationships with Jesus Christ. It is through maturing in this relationship with God that a person can give the other the best version of themselves, removing conflict and disagreements happening in most relationships./
Godly Dating 101 was born. After a few months, it became a podcast and later a YouTube Channel. The channel has 54.3k subscribers and growing at a high rate. His Instagram page, Podcast, and YouTube Channel have blown, making him a regular guest on various platforms discussing relationships.
He has been a guest on the Heart of Dating Podcast and has had a conversation with Pastor Vladimir Savchuk. Grey has also authored a book called Godly Dating 101: Discover the Truth About Relationships in a World That Constantly Lies.
