Raven Brown is an American journalist serving in the media industry as a reporter and anchor at WHEC-TV 10 NBC. Brown considers herself passionate, talented, and ready for the task. She is an Atlanta native born on 5th April 1993. The 29-year old as of 2022 comes from a closely bonded family. She is the daughter of Robin Leaks-Hunt and a sibling to Jorian Jones, Vincent Brown, and Dane Browner. Her career remains her focus. Serving as a journalist is a dream come true. Since childhood, Raven dreamt of being on the screen. Brown studied at Peachtree Ridge High School and later joined the University of Missouri-Columbia after graduating. While in college, she actively participated in societies and activities that prepared her for her future career.
As a college student, she got the opportunity to intern at WCAV-TV, Charlottesville, Virginia Area. Here she learned to write news scripts, interview guests, and edit audio and visuals. Raven also learned to report entertainment and sports news. She also had another internship opportunity when she assisted Michael Yo’s Hot Mess Comedy to pass out tickets and set up the venue. Having an experience in entertainment news led her to intern at Entertainment Tonight where she researched stories, assisted in doing interviews, and created scripts for hosts.
Raven Brown Career
She started working as a reporter at KOMU-TV. For the 1 year she was there, Raven did reports for the University of Missouri, ran social media account, anchored the Red Carpet Report, and assisted producers in creating local and national videos. After graduating, Brown got an entertainment hosting opportunity at Tasty Productions where she hosted a segment called That’s Hot and News Minute.
Her journalism journey took a foothold when she joined WTNH-TV as a digital content producer and A Social Media Specialist. Her duties were pushing content on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to connect with the audience, breaking news on social media, interacting with the audience, and managing social media insights. She did that job for 10 months before joining KTVO as a multimedia journalist and later as a morning news anchor for a show called Good Morning Heartland. After 1 and a half years, Raven joined WCHS as a reporter and anchor for 2 years. In 2020, she join NBC for WHEC-TV as an anchor and reporter. She anchors news at 6 pm and 11 pm on weekdays and does reporting work 3 days a week. She also does fill-in anchoring on weekdays.

When on anchoring duties, Raven will put on official wear, mostly plain and preserved. On reporting duties, she will rock ragged jeans and boots, and when the night hits, a long trench coat will keep her warm. Her official dress is knee-high to remind her fans of her femininity.
