He also worked as a special events executive producer as he served as a field anchor for large events.
After 2 years, Tom joined KSTP as a weekday reporter and weekend news anchor. He also served as a fill-in host for Twin Cities Live. For the three years Tom served there, he covered some breaking news and won an Emmy for reporting The Death of Prince, a Minnesota celebrity.
Tom joined TMJ4 News in 2017 as a reporter but later got promoted to anchor after 5 years of reporting.
In his time as a journalist, Tom has covered interesting stories. He has done a report on the impact of the 9/11 attacks, the trial of worldwide superstar Michael Jackson and the death of the late former president Ronald Reagan. Tom also covered Barack Obama’s campaign for the top seat.
Recently, Tom has done a story on the demand Milwaukee voters want for the mid-term elections, food donations to Ukraine, Wisconsin elections, and Tony Atkins’ Heroic act of saving a Nurse Trapped by floods caused by Hurricane Ian. Tom has covered historic stories like the inauguration ceremony of Democratic Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin 2022 elections.
