Tom Durian Biography

His composure, calmness, and confidence could be the reason Tom Durian has served as a journalist for a long time. Currently, he works as an anchor for TMJ4 News Today. His expertise in his job comes after years of work experience as an anchor and reporter at various media stations. Such experiences have made Tom a guru in news writing, radio, politics, and broadcasting.

After 2 years, Tom joined KSTP as a weekday reporter and weekend news anchor. He also served as a fill-in host for Twin Cities Live. For the three years Tom served there, he covered some breaking news and won an Emmy for reporting The Death of Prince, a Minnesota celebrity.

Tom joined TMJ4 News in 2017 as a reporter but later got promoted to anchor after 5 years of reporting.

In his time as a journalist, Tom has covered interesting stories. He has done a report on the impact of the 9/11 attacks, the trial of worldwide superstar Michael Jackson and the death of the late former president Ronald Reagan. Tom also covered Barack Obama’s campaign for the top seat.

Recently, Tom has done a story on the demand Milwaukee voters want for the mid-term elections, food donations to Ukraine, Wisconsin elections, and Tony Atkins’ Heroic act of saving a Nurse Trapped by floods caused by Hurricane Ian. Tom has covered historic stories like the inauguration ceremony of Democratic Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin 2022 elections.

Tom Durian Hobbies and Salary

Outside of normal job duties, Durian contributes to the public as a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He is also passionate about cars and listening to country music. His time and experience as a journalist offer him a comfortable and decent lifestyle. He is also a top earner as he earns approximately $90,000 per year.
