At school, she worked with technical producers at Miller communications for 4 years. Rivers was responsible for recording commercials, and broadcasting daily morning shows and sports events. This opportunity began a journey she would follow for most part of her life.
Career
After graduating, the young journalist started as a freelance journalist for The Manning times. She later became a news producer at WLTX News 19 where she wrote scripts, assisted in editing, coordinated live segments, and covered breaking news. She also used social media platforms to promote shows, create video clips, and engage with viewers.
Rivers also assisted the stations in forming ties with key people in the community. She worked there for 3 years before joining WCIV first as a multimedia journalist and later as a traffic anchor and reporter. After another 3 years, she joined WUSA 9 as a journalist. In December 2022, she announced that she would be leaving WUSA for a job she has not announced yet. We will update you guys on where she will be going next.
