Career
Her career as a journalist kicked off when she was an anchor and reporter for WNCT. She served as a fill-in anchor for weekend shows and weekday morning newscasts. On weekdays she worked as a general assignment reporter. She visited the fields, communicating with residents, and did live interviews. Later, Laila worked at WTKR for 9 years as an evening anchor for News Channel 3 at 4, 7, and 10 p.m. Her roles involved anchoring while on the field, hosting events, and making community appearances. For the next 2 years, she served as the Host of Morning Dose, a news, talk, and entertainment show aired on The CW Network. She did live interviews with celebrities, handled anchoring duties, and researched trending topics.
In 2019, she joined iHeartMedia as a News anchor for KFI AM 640 where she delivered updates on local and syndicated talk shows. Muhammad also served as the fill-in host.
