Annette Peagler Age and Relationship
Annette was born on 18 September 1986 in Philadelphia. She was born with a dream and the zeal to make it come to pass. Her determination to become an exceptional artist has been a priority over having a husband or being in a marriage. As of 2023, we can say that Annette is single.
Career and Education
She started at Hampton University where she studied Broadcast Journalism and was actively involved in the student’s radio station, The Voice of Hampton, and the Hampton Scripts Newspaper. After graduating, she joined The Charfied Edge for a few months. In 2022, she resorted to doing master’s. Annette went to Coastal Carolina University where she pursued a master’s of Arts in communication and media studies.
Her first steps as a journalist involved interning at WCBS News Radio 880 as a program editor and a feature writer. She also interned at WCPO as a reporter who wrote a number of stories and ran scripts. Her final internship was at WAVY-TV where she developed story ideas, edited her own packages, and assisted in reporting and editing assignments.
Her first job was as an announcer at WHOV-FM where she hosted Gospel Express Morning Show and did several voiceovers and organized spots for music selections.
Annette’s dream started taking shape when she joined an apprentice program at WCPO-TV. She had a chance of visiting all departments in the media business. She later became a weekend producer and weekday reporter of daily issues and topics of interest.
Her most remarkable work was her time as a reporter for Good Morning Tri-State. From Monday through Wednesday, she was tasked with doing multimedia jobs which involved creating videos for the social media audience and pitching stories.
After 4 years, Annette joined Sinclair Broadcast Group as a reporter and multimedia journalist specializing in writing enterprise stories, shooting, and editing. In 2013, she served as a reporter for WLBT for 3 years before joining Tegna as an anchor and multi-skilled journalist.
In 2016, she joined Nexstar Media Group as an anchor and reporter at Memphis and later as an evening anchor at Myrtle Beach.
Outside Job, Height and Salary
With more than 12 years of experience as an indoor and outdoor journalist, Peagler has covered many stories. She did the story The Rise and Fall of Stax Records, which got an Emmy Nomination. Recently. Annette has also covered the 3rd annual International Women’s Day luncheon held at Myrtle Beach Resort, The Waves of Praise Gospel Fest, and a series that involved Honoring Black History.
Annette is ambitious and relentless in striving to achieve her goals. She is one of the highest-ranking black women journalists in South Carolina. She has perfected skills in editing, writing, and reporting.
Over the years, she has convinced audiences of her ability to deliver authentic news. From this, she gets an annual salary of approximately $75,000. Her physical appearance is also something the audience notices. She is a black woman of an average height of 5 feet and 5 inches.
