Sandie Rinaldo Biography
Sandie Rinaldo is a national weekend News anchor for CTV News. Rinaldo has been working for CTV for 49 years as of 2022. She has covered national and international events that have received worldwide and national recognition. Sandie was born Sandra Brycks on 16 January 1950 in Canada’s capital, Toronto. She is the wife of the late Michael Rinaldo, who died in 2005 at age 60 after battling cancer for a year. During their time together, Micheal and Sandra were blessed with three wonderful daughters. Sandie celebrated her 72nd birthday in 2022.

Becoming a woman journalist and anchor was difficult during the 19th century since men dominated most jobs. However, Sandie trusted her guts. After graduating, she joined CTV as a junior secretary. She used this position to demonstrate her skills and passion. Her work was recognized leading to her promotion to production secretary and later to production manager. Sandie later became a researcher for W5. One of her greatest achievements was her remote assignment to New York City, where, together with other colleagues, covered The Bankruptcy of New Work, a story, which received an award.
In 1976, Sandie joined Canada AM, where she was a producer focused on federal and provincial politics. One year later, Rinaldo became the overall reporter for Canada AM, where she got an opportunity to travel across the world. During her time as an anchor for Canada, Rinaldo had the opportunity to interview Bob Marley. The interview went sour on her because the public accused her of disrespecting the music legend. Years later in an interview, Rinaldo regretted having asked the Music icon some questions.
Sandra occupied her current position in 1985 and also continued producing W5, Canada’s most-watched documentary show. She has also been the host of Fame and Family 2000 and “Magnificent Moms: A Celebration of Motherhood” 1998.
