Alexis Wainwright Biography

Alexis Wainwright is thrilled to work as a journalist. In her three job experiences, she has gathered skills in reporting, writing, and doing one on one interviews. Currently, she works as a reporter and a fill-in anchor at KTVT and CBS DFW. The other two experiences were at WJAC-TV and KARK 4. She has also served as an intern at WJLA-TV and Fox News Channel.

Alexis Wainwright Personal Life

She was born on 21st September 1995 in Bowie, Maryland. Alexis comes from a background that values Christian principles. Her calm personality is an expression of her upbringing. She is also a single woman. She posts often on Instagram how she appreciates love in other people’s lives and how she is waiting for the right time for things to happen for her.

Education and Career

Alexis was an energetic and active girl since middle school. In Bowie High School, she was part of the team that did the morning news and the High School Cheerleader. After high school, she did a short-term program at Delaware State University before joining North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she did a journalism and Mass communication degree.

She later went on to pursue her master’s at Northwestern University. While in school, Alexis worked in the studio for the school’s station. She was a reporter for a show called Aggie Sports Report.

Before getting a journalism job, Wainwright worked in many sectors. She started as an intern at the American Chemical Society where she was charged with assisting in product development and data collection. Alexis also interned at Washington Metropolitical Area Transit Authority in a Rail Operations Information Center where she updated files, wrote, and proofread service disruptions.

Her last opportunity as an intern was at Fox News Channel where she was in the sports department and at WJLA-TV.

In 2017, she got her first employment as a reporter and anchor for WJAC. Alexis worked there for 2 years before joining KARK 4 as a reporter and anchor. In 2021, she moved to Dallas-Fort Worth to work as a reporter and later as a fill-in Traffic anchor. Recently, she has done news on the shooting at Allen Premium Outlets where 9 people died including the Gunman.

Achievement and Salary

She has built a reputation of excellence and potential to go higher in her storytelling skills. Alexis Wainwright is slowly chasing the levels of veteran journalists like Nicky Zizaza and Star Harvey Meteorologist. She is also an inspiration to young girls dreaming of becoming a journalist.

The journalist also participates in raising awareness of black journalists through her participation in the National Association of Black Journalists. Her physical attributes also make her fit for journalism. She is 5 feet and 5 inches tall. Her annual salary could be approximately $50,000.
