Brian chose to become a journalist when he was young. He went to school at the University of Houston-Downtown where he studied Communication and Media Studies and a minor in Spanish. Mendoza was hardworking and passionate about telling stories. His passion made him a favorite during the selection of people to participate in the school’s journalism activities and societies. Becoming a limelight journalist led him to work as a reporter at Telemundo 62. On 16th September, Mendoza announced on his promotion from a reporter to a weather anchor. As a weather anchor, he has had the opportunity to cover Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Maria.
