Damon was born on 4th August 1984 in Cleveland, Ohio to Damon Dillard Sr. and Sabenia Arrington. Damon and his two younger sisters were raised by a single mother after their parent’s separation. Seeing his mother struggling to take care of the family created a desire in him to help her shape the family. This passion also helped Damon to start a stable family when he became an adult. Now, he is married to Teairra Dillard and together they have two children.
Like most people, Dillard thought the best route out of surviving is education. He went to Capital University where he did a degree in Financial Economics and Marketing. While putting his efforts into excelling in education, Dillard developed a passion for basketball, which he also desired to pursue professionally.
When the time to name a decision between basketball and going the education way came, he chose the latter because he felt more comfortable. Basketball became a form of leisure and physical exercise.
After graduating, he founded Dillard and Associates LLC, an insurance agency that helps people with their end-of-life expenses. Two years later, he co-founded TDT Financial, a company offering low-priced life insurance options to the age joining retirement. He also started an online course to educate his clients about life insurance and how they can create a business out of it.
His expertise in insurance earned him speaking opportunities on TedX and with a platform with influential people like Dharius Daniels. His venture in life insurance has also been making him money.
