DeAndria Turner Biography
DeAndria Turner, 24, is on a mission to inspire through storytelling and bring truth to light through her career. As of writing this article, Turner is at the onset of her career but has demonstrated the potential of doing it big in the media business. She serves as a reporter for FOX61 and CW20. Prior to this, she served at WAFF and as an intern in several stations in Mississippi.

The young journalist was born and raised in Gautier Mississippi. Her date of birth is 12th March 1998. The 24-year-old comes from a Christian background where she was taught the principles of life to abide by. Her father comes is black and her mother was white. Her mother passed on almost ten years ago.

Education
Since childhood Turner has been a go-getter. She decided to be a journalist after meeting her mentor while in High School. Her ambition for succeeding in life led her to the University of Mississippi where she majored in Broadcast journalism and double minored in English and African American Studies. She got internship opportunities at WTOK WMC-TV and at NBC Dateline. At NBC, she transcribed interviews, court proceedings, and recorded footage. She also assisted in running morning presentations.
Career
After graduating, she got her first job at 92.1 Rebel Radio in Oxford. She started as a DJ serving music for the listeners. DeAndria worked her way and got promoted to a reporter and later the station’s manager. She got the experience of interacting with the community, and other reporters and learned interviewing skills. In 2019, she worked part-time as a reporter at WCBI-TV for 9months and later became a full-time reporter at WAFF for 2 years. In 2022, she was called for a reporting job at FOX 61 and CW20.
Turner has covered some interesting stories for FOX 61. She has interviewed victims of sexual assault 12 years later, done a story on teens with guns, monkeypox cases in Connecticut, stories of missing people, severe weather in East Windsor, and other stories.

When she is not on official duties, DeAndria writes her blog where she shares faith-based content and things happening in her personal life. She is a devoted Christian and serves at her church.
