Joyce Philippe Biography

The success that Joyce Philippe has had in her job stemmed from her decision to follow the vision God gave her.

On her Instagram, Joyce said I’ve worked really hard to go from feeling like I’m just floating around to truly walking in my purpose. God showed me the vision, I’m just following the blueprint. She is a professional journalist currently working as a producer in training at ABC News.

Prior to this position, Phillipe worked at Reuters, WLOX-TV, and as an intern in several media stations. In her experience, she has become an expert in shooting, writing, editing, and creating video clips. Covering other people’s stories has been her day-to-day job. Education

She started following the blueprint when she was a student at Cypress Bay High School. This print later led her to Flordia State University where she studied for a degree in English. Joyce was also a campus representative for New York Times. She was tasked with running surveys, evaluating sales techniques, and driving digital subscriptions. Philippe also served in the school as a news anchor for the FSU radio station. Career

After graduating, Joyce interned at WFLA as a reporter who did live interviews, posted on social media, and produced daily news. After 4 months, she joined WCTV as an intern for another 4 months. She got her first job at WLOX-TV first as a digital content producer who created daily content for the station’s website and social media platforms. She also scheduled alerts for weather updates, traffic, and breaking news. After 1 year, the station promoted her to fill-in anchor and multimedia journalist. She assisted in doing on-site news coverage, evaluating news leading, and creating videos for broadcast.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, she enrolled for a master’s degree at Columbia University. Her projects were covering 2020 elections, business growth during the pandemic and the strategies business took to respond to government restrictions. After graduating, she joined Reuters as an intern and later as a producer on a contract basis. She worked there for 5 months and later joined ABC where she is training as a producer. For close to two years, Joyce has been learning to conduct interviews, write stories, and support the production team.

She has covered the story of Jessica Watkins who became the first black woman to join the international space station crew.
