Kelly Kennedy, 30 or 31, is an Emmy-nominated investigative reporter working for Cleveland 19 News. She is passionate about extensively seeking information to reveal hidden motives behind crimes happening around the community. Kelly is an expert at writing scripts, doing live interviews, editing, and pitching stories. Her stories have made her a celebrated journalist wherever she works. Kennedy has previously worked at WNCN, WJHG, and KHAS TV.

Appearing on the screen was her passion since high school. She chased this childhood dream by joining Purchase College, SUNY to pursue a degree. At school, she was actively involved in the National Society of Leadership and Success as it would prepare her for the person she would be in the future.
As a student, Kelly had an opportunity to sharpen her journalism. She interned at RNN-TV and CBS This Morning where she learned production, researching stories, using social media to drive traffic, and operating the teleprompter.
After graduating, she resorted to working. After searching for a job, she got an opportunity at Hoak Media of Nebraska, KHAS-TV Channel 5 as a News Reporter. Here, Kennedy got an opportunity to shoot, edit and report. She learned to communicate while on the field with people in the studio.
Kennedy put the skills she learned when interning into practice when she was given the role of creating content for social media users. After less than a year, Kelly got a golden opportunity to work at WJHG-TV which exposed her to the larger media industry. She worked as a one-man band reporter and developed stories on social media. Kelly would also fill in for absent workers.
After two years, she joined WNCN for close to 3 years. She worked as a reporter, editing, shooting, and writing as a multimedia journalist. The journalist also helped the company maintain its social media presence. In 2019, the zealous journalist relocated to Cleveland to join WOIO, Cleveland News 19 as an investigative reporter and anchor.
Recently she has been involved in covering historic news such as the proposed law in Cleveland that would require businesses to hire armed security. She also did an interview with Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb about his performance after 100 days in office.
