Michelle Morgan Biography
Michelle Morgan serves as the weather specialist for WWL-TV, a reporter from Wednesday through Friday, and a morning newscast during the weekends. She has close to ten years of experience in the journalism business, making her skilled in storytelling, creating digital content, pitching stories, and writing. Prior to working at WWL-TV, Morgan served as a meteorologist at KRTV and WRIC.

Michelle’s ethnicity is Indian but her nationality is American. She was born in 1990 or 1989 in Brooklyn. Her skin color is brown and her eyes are brown as well. She is also a married woman and their marriage has been blessed with a child called Jacob.
Education and Career
Being raised in Brooklyn, Morgan was familiar with hot summers and snowstorms. The severe weather conditions sparked an interest in weather when she was 7 years old.
She went to school at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where she did a degree in Meteorology. Later, she joined the Connecticut School of Broadcasting where she did a certificate in Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology. Morgan learned broadcasting skills like using portable digital cameras, using editing software, exercising editorial judgment, and ways to approach a story.
In 2016, she got her first journalism job at KRTV. She served there for 2 years before joining WRIC 8 News still as a meteorologist. In 2021, she left 8 News to join the weather team on WWL-TV. Her decision to leave 8 News left a lot of speculation many arguing that she was fired and other arguing she quit the job. The true reason for leaving 8 News is known to a few people. In her departure statement, she stated the following
I HAVE SOME NEWS TO SHARE: We’re moving to New Orleans!!!! I’ve accepted a job there and my last show will be this Friday (May 21st). This is not a goodbye post, but I wanted to keep y’all in the loop. The sappy goodbye post will come soon. I’m terrible at goodbyes. 🙁 But we are super excited to move back to the south and be a little bit closer to our family. I can’t wait to share what station I’ll be going to. Just know it’s a DREAM COME TRUE <3
At WWL-TV, Morgan has been doing enlighting coverages. She has raised warning on the possibility of a Tornado in Plaquemines, St Bernard, severe thunderstorms in Lafourche, and a Street Flood Advisory in Tangipahoa.
While she is not working, Morgan volunteers in teaching students about the weather. She also participates in community welfare, especially the activities that involve the Indian American community. Together with the likes of Natalie Haddad, Michelle is representing the Indian community in the media sector.
