At age 7, Capri and her sisters formed a girl group called The Cool Girl. They wrote and recorded rap music, making it Capri’s official entry into the music industry. At age 16, Poni and her big sister Fiona Bryant,17, moved to the United States to do music with a promise of a major record label. Arriving in the US, the deal went south. The siblings were left broke, devastated, and homeless. They ended up going back to London to re-strategize.
This was the beginning of their triumph. At age 17 Fiona became Capri’s manager and together they moved back to America, this time with a focus and desire. They knocked on many doors and got several opportunities with record labels. She did many open mics to improve her skills and make herself known.
Her major breakthrough came when she met with producer Denaun Porter of Shady Records. She later did a collaboration with international hip hop star Lil Wayne on his Album Public Enemy in the song Easy Money.
Her fame landed her features on Music TV shows. She featured on BBC TV Show in a trio girl group called Apollo Strings. She has an album called Whip It and a mixtape called Everlasting.
