Maryanne was born on 8th October 1992 in Queens, New York. Although her roots are in India, Asia, Maryanne subscribes to the Christian religion just like her parents. George is also open about her relationship status. She is the wife of Jon George.
The two dated for some time before finally tying the knot on July 24, 2017. They married in a colorful Indian-themed wedding at the Walding River, New York. The ceremony was graced by her close family members and fellow church and worship leaders.
Like Maryanne, Jon is also a worship leader at Ozark Christain Tabernacle in West Plains and West County Assembly of God in St. Louis, Missouri.

Maryanne has been passionate about it since her childhood. Despite originating from India, she decided to follow in her parent’s footsteps in Christianity. She encountered God early on in her life. This motivated her to create music that helps people encounter God.
George was born and raised in Long Island, New York. Her home church is located in Hicksville, New York, where she served as a leader for musicians and vocalist, choir member, and worship director. Her breakthrough came when she joined Maverick City Music Group as a worship leader of Indian descent. She joined other popular musicians like Chandler Moore, Naomi Raine, Aaron Moses, and Dante Bowe, who was recently dismissed from the group.
Joining Maverick came as a surprise to Maryanne who at that time was singing covers and uploading them on YouTube. One time Tony Brwon the founder of Maverick, which at that time was called, House Fires, reached out to Maryanne after she sang one of his covers., He invited her to a small worship writing camp. Being part of the writing team helped in forming Maverick City Music, which she became a member.
Other than music, Maryanne is a mental health advocate. She pursued the course and graduated with a Master of Education in Mental Health Counselling. Maryanne has contributed immensely in speaking about the importance of mental health and the role that worship plays in maintaining stable mental health. She is also big in inspiring women to actively participate in ministry. She has been featured in the Courageous Magazine and The Radicals Podcast encouraging women to be active in church work. She provides evidence of women’s importance in ministry by educating people about the women who were active in Jesus’ ministry.
Record Label, Tribl Records of Maverick City Music, announced that Maryanne would be releasing her first solo career project called Not Just Stories. The Album was later released on October 8, 2021.
In an interview with Lead Worship Well, Maryanne said that the Album’s main focus was surrendering, devotion, and sacrifice, which are all tenants of worship. In the interview, she mentions how the Maverick City Music members encouraged her to produce the album.
Her EP featured Naomi Raine, Aaron Moses, and Dante Bowe, who are all members of the Collective. She particularly pays attention to the Album’s lead song Prayer. Maryanne confirmed that the Prayer was a personal song that captured the rawness of the relationship between men and God.
