Pak’s passion for media led her to study at the University of California Santa Barbra where she was called to pursue communication and media studies. Jasmin, however, applied to another school because she felt Santa Barba did not have resources adjacent to entertainment. She applied for a transfer to UCLA and UC Berkeley but was called to the latter college because her financial aid package could only fit it.
In the beginning, Jasmine was focused on learning media and the production of content, which she later combined with her passion for cooking. As a student, she worked for IvyMax Inc as an English Teacher who helped students to raise their English abilities.
After two years, she joined CBS Local Digital Media as an intern. She learned to develop concepts, edit interviews, and podcast segments, and assist in the production of The Taz Show. She also interned at NBC Universal where she learned to run a teleprompter for the morning and Middat Newsxasr and create all emotional graphics in different coverages.
Pak got her first employment after school at CalTV as an entertainment reporter and director. She led a team of reporters to produce video content and blog post. She joined Buzzfeed on a fellowship program to a freelance and later an editor. In a YouTube video, Jasmine explained her journey to hold the coveted position.
It started after she wrote an emotional-filled post on Linkedin after she got rejected by Buzzfeed two times. The post went viral on Linkedin after Jeff Weiner, the CEO of Linkedin commented on it. The viral posts opened many interview opportunities to several media companies including Buzzfeed.

She works closely with her team to grow the franchise and rebrand Bring Me with sizzle reels, Instagram templates, and after-effects graphics. She has managed to maintain a steady growth of Buzz Feed Tasty, which has 43.4 million followers.
