Antoinette Biordi Biography
25 years strong in the journalism business, Antoinette Biordi, 48, has everything any media station could want. She is an expert in shooting, producing, reporting, writing, and editing daily stories. Currently, Biordi is a journalist working for News 12 Long Island as an anchor and reporter. She has perfected her craft from years of working at News Center 7, WETM, WNYT, and FOX 23. She was born on 2nd March 1974 in Brooklyn. She came from a family valuing the importance of marriage. This resulted in her marriage to Andrew. Together, the couple is blessed with a son Mathew. They also keep their dog Pepper as a close companion.

As she grew up Antoinette’s passion for journalism became more real. This led her to join the New York Institute of Technology where she pursued a BA in communications. Biordi also participated in journalism activities and societies as she prepared to become one in the future.
She started her career at News Center where she acted as a solo reporter, producer, writer, and editor of stories for the media station. After 1 year, she joined WETM in Elmira as a reporter and anchor. She prepared new scripts and researched stories on the ground, shot and produced them for the audience. After working for 5 years in New York, she went back home to work as a freelance reporter 1t News 12. Her success attracted full-time employment at Westchester in 2003. In 2007, she won a New York Emmy Award for covering More than just a game, a story covering the lives of physically disabled children engaging in the Special Olympics. She also got two nominations. She continued getting awards for covering a series of stories showing drunkenness and alcoholism in homes in America. The series together with other stories covered won Edward R Murrow Awards, Deadline Club Awards, New York Press Club, AP awards, AEGIS award, and Gold Aurora Awards.
She got another New York Emmy Award for covering modern-day Long Island Witches and the rise in the practice of Wicca. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Birdo was at the forefront of covering the impact of the pandemic and the strategies businesses are employing to overcome the impact. This coverage earned her a 3rd New York Emmy Award.
In 2023, Biordi took home a New York Emmy Award in business for doing a story called Road Trip Close to Home. She was later nominated for Breaking News and Weekend Newscast during the Emmy Nominations.
