With just 1 year of experience as a meteorologist, Grace Lowe, 22, has proved to be a reliable source of weather information. She has covered ice storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes. Grace Lowe currently serves as a weather specialist for WCBD TV Count On News 2. Grace is an expert at storytelling, writing scripts and doing live interviews.

Grace is a Spartanburg native born on 19th June 2022. The 22-year-old gen z comes from a Christian family where she learned morals and family values. Being young in age, Grace has chosen to be single. Her focus is excelling in her specialty.
Education and Career
The decision to pursue weather started after she experienced a tornado when she was 8. It sparked an interest in weather patterns since then. She went to Chesnee High School. Lowe demonstrated leadership skills by getting involved in leading roles in the Study body first as a vice president and later as the president. She later joined the College of Charleston where she did a double major in Atmospheric Sciences and meteorology and Physics and minored in communications.
She was the research assistant who earned co-author status for her work in writing Coastal Variability in Tropical Cyclone Climatology. She also did interviews and wrote articles featured on the physics department website.
As a student, she served as the assistant public relations manager at CisternYard Media for a little more than 3 years. She also interned at Hail Point in Public Relations and later at WCBD as a meteorologist intern.
As an intern, she learned from experienced weather specialists such as Rob Fowler. Grace got an opportunity to participate in documenting Tropic Strom Elsa and several tornadoes that followed. The experience was intense having that she was new. However, she held on as she had chosen to become a journalist.
Surviving the experience got her a permanent job at WCBD in November 2021. She was announced as the new broadcast meteorologist. The young journalist has covered a variety of weather stories in the country. She has a series segment called Science to 2 Go that recaps weather events in the past. In the series, she has done stories on lightning myths, Hurricane names, the decomposition of a pumpkin, and coastal flooding.
