The dream to become a journalist led her to study Radio and Television broadcasting with a minor in political science at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her passion for journalism landed her internship opportunities at WDXT Boston 25 News and as a News Reporter at KBIA 91.3FM.
She also got an opportunity to travel to Belgium where she was an intern at Feature Story News. Ross has a successful time as she got the privilege to cover Brexit and a terrorist attack that happened.
Career
She got her first journalism employment at KOMU 8 and Mid-Missouri CW as a News Anchor and Reporter. She learned to create newscasts, and pitch and write engaging stories.
After 1 year, Ross got hired at KOBI-TV/NBC5 as a morning news anchor. Her responsibilities were writing web and broadcasting news after researching accurate and reliable information.
She was also a multimedia journalist who increased social media engagement to more than 10,000 as she was responsible for managing the station’s social media accounts and web traffic. She worked there for 2 years before joining WMTW as an anchor and reporter.
Ross has worn many hats in her position at WMTW, She became the host of a national TV segment called Stitch. The station also tasked her with creating content for WMTW’s Instagram. She created engaging social media content and articles for the website.

In recent times she has been involved in covering how climate change has affected farming in Maine and the population influx in Maine. While reporting blood donations for cancer patients in Maine, Ross did the story while donating blood.
