Natalie Haddad Biography

Natalie Haddad describes herself as a passionate and experienced storyteller. She is an award-winning journalist working as a reporter at KVUE. Haddad has earned the respect of KVUE viewers due to her ability to deliver real and authentic news. The reporter learned this skill from working at KRDO, and KDFW, and as an intern at various media stations.

Age and Relationship

She was born on 14th December 1993 in California but grew up in East Texas. Natalie Haddad, 29, comes from a mixed race. Her mother is Mexican and her father is Lebanese and Armenian. She has 3 siblings: an older brother followed by a sister and lastly her twin brother.

Haddad is also in a relationship with David J Sentendrey, an Emmy-award-winning reporter working at Fox 4 News. The two met while working in the same station. Sentendrey approached Natalie, who was a producer by then, with an excuse to talk to her. There, Haddad got an interest in him. They became friends and started dating. As of 2022, the couple has dated for close to two years.

Education

Becoming a journalist was never in her mind as she grew up desiring to be an actor or singer. However, desire kicked in when she learned that English, writing, and storytelling was her passion too. This desire made her choose journalism.

She went to Jackson Ville College where she studied mass communication for 1 year before joining Stephen F. Austin State University to study broadcast journalism and public relations.

While in school, she served as the Host of KSAU 90.1 The Axe Show where she delivered news from across the area, state, and nation. Natalie also learned to create on-air music playlists, fulfilling requests and promotions. She was also the anchor and reporter of JACK-TV, which focused on news around the campus and surrounding areas.

Career

In 2017, she joined ABC12 as an assignment Desk Intern. She was tasked with answering phones, monitoring emergencies, and following up on news leads and tips from social media to keep the station updated with events happening in real time.

In 2018, she got a job as a producer at KIAH-TV. The station tasked her with producing two eventing shows daily from Friday to Tuesday and researching and writing national and local news.

After 1 year, Natalie joined KFDM and FOX 4 as a General Assignment Reporter providing coverage for 5 pm and 6 pm News and focusing on breaking news. She also worked there for 1 year before joining KDFW as a producer for Good Day aired on weekdays. Natalie also assisted in writing scripts for other shows.

After 1 and a half years, she relocated to Colorado to join KRDO-AM as a traffic anchor, reporter, and fill-in anchor. Her responsibilities were delivering real-time delivery news, ad-libbing traffic reports, and shooting and writing news packages for noon news.

In April 2022, Natalie joined KVUE News as a general assignment reporter, local and out-of-region field reporter for breaking news. She also serves as a fill-in anchor for morning and midday shows. Natalie regularly contributes to KVUE’S investigative team.

In 2022, she won a regional Emmy for best morning newscast for covering a windstorm. The same year she got an Emmy nomination for Daily New Report- Single Shift.

Outside work, Natalie is fun-loving and outgoing. She is also a member of the National Broadcasting Society and the Arab and Middle Easter Journalist Association. She is also a volunteer at the Alzheimer’s Association.
