On the side, she was working as a freelance contributor for different publications. She wrote for New York Daily News, Hunts Point Express, Huffington Post, and Crain’s New York Business. Amy also did reports for the community paper live webcast for several stations.
She joined News 12 Network in 2020 as a reporter, assignment editor, and field producer. Her duties were doing photographs, writing scripts, editing videos, and covering breaking news. She was also on the ground giving real and updated news concerning an event. After 1 year, she was promoted to Reporter at News 12 The Bronx and Brooklyn where she worked for another 3 years.
She left in 2015 to join WJZ-TV in Baltimore as a reporter for 3 years and later at NY1 News as a full-time reporter and fill-in anchor. In August 2022, Amy announced joining PIX 11 as a General Assignment reporter.
As a reporter, Amy has been at the forefront of covering crime and breaking news specifically in the Bronx. She has also covered the American situation during COVID-19 and post-pandemic. Amy has done coverage of elections and 3 presidential campaigns and elections. Her experience as a journalist has been involved with covering major news like the Gun Violence Awareness march which was done in June 2023.
