Her life would later change when she met her now husband Joe Fulwiler, a smart man who had studied at Yale University and graduated with honors, Columbia Law School, and Stanford Business School, and important of all he believed in God. Before Jennifer met her husband, she was living the American dream-a condo on the 21st floor and a bottle of sauvignon blanc on her fridge. Jennifer was earning well as a programmer at a start-up. All her life was entertaining but she knew darkness followed her all her life.

She questioned life and wondered why struggling to live and work mattered at all. When she met Joe, who was a lukewarm Christian at that time, things started changing. Slowly, she started turning to Christianity, the religion she had grown to hate.

In her memoir Something other than God: How I Passionately Sought Happiness and Accidentally Found It, she confessed to concealing religious books and hiding in the bathroom to read her Bible.

As she read through the Bible, she became convinced of sin, righteousness, and judgment. She explored many churches and made a decision to settle for the Catholic Church. Together with her husband, Jennifer made the decision to follow Christ.

Comedy Career

After converting, she became a staunch supporter of Christianity. On her blog, she wrote about Christianity and got a job at Sirius XM, a Catholic Channel. Although she was doing what she loved, Jennifer felt unrest within her soul.

She wanted to do more. Being a Christian, she resorted to asking God for guidance. And the guidance came in form of many people commenting about her sense of humor. From these comments, the idea of becoming a stand-up comedian was birthed. Jennifer quit her job and turned to comedy 100%.

Starting as a stand-up comedian was difficult because she was new in the industry and her way of comedy was different from her contemporaries in the secular world. She took a leap of faith.

With her personal credit card and a list of theaters in 14 cities. Surprisingly, all tickets got sold out, and her name became famous. She later met with Sprit Juice who did a comedy special for her.

Later she got signed with United Talent Artists and started her own show called The Naughty Corner. The show grew fast and became successful because she learned to use her children and friends as an audience to practice and polish her jokes.

Now, Jennifer tours across the United States bringing people together and cracking jokes with them. She views comedy as an art of showing people the other side of God and an aspect of humility.
