She comes from the Kikuyu tribe in Kenya. Pauline was born on 14th September 1990 or 1991 in Githiga village, Kiambu County. Like most Kenyans, she comes from a Christian background from which she learned the values of life.

Now as an adult, Pauline continues to practice these values in her work and personal life. As of 2023, she is ripe for marriage but her focus has remained on pursuing her career ambition. Becoming an influential person in Kenya was never in her imagination. Her greatest dream was coming out of poverty. Pauline knows poverty. She lost her mother at an early age and her father’s financial position could not sustain the family.

Despite lacking finances, Pauline was a sharp student. Her only way out of poverty was to excel in education. She excelled in her final examination at Moi Girls but joining campus reminded her of her limitations. Two times she thought of buying a degree instead of following the traditional route of education.

Advice from her religious friend led her to think twice about her decision. Hope re-emerged when a church helped  Pauline to join Catholic University. her dreams, however, were cut short when she could not pay the full amount for the first semester. She maneuvered her way to meet the later President Moi to convince him to pay for her education but all plans failed.

Her breakthrough moment came when she was working in a posho mill owned by a couple who decided to live with her. As a posho mill attendant, Pauline started reading materials that familiarised her with the political scope of Kenya. She also accessed political material from the UN Library where she taught herself the science of politics.

Learning about the politics of the country sparked an interest, one she never imagined. And just like that, the hope that was once dimmed to darkness was lightened. Pauline knew she wanted to be actively involved in politics. She also learned to use Facebook as a tool to voice her knowledge and interest in politics.

Slowly, she started posting content about the political situation of the country. Soon, her content began gaining track. People started following and others reached out to her. In 2013, she was invited to be involved in the presidential campaigns as a communications manager for The National Alliance Party.

With the new identity, she worked with New Partnership for Africa’s Development and the African Peer Review Mechanism to advance the African Union Agenda.

Prior to these opportunities, she joined the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies at the University of Nairobi where she did a master’s in International Studies.

Now, Pauline Njoroge is an influential political blogger in Kenya. Her political leaning is clear. After supporting former president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013 and 2017, she has never relented her support despite his preferred candidate losing in the 2022 presidential elections.
