Alex Frazier’s pursuit of becoming a journalist started at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she earned a degree in broadcast journalism. As a student, she interned as a reporter at WTXL where she learned to write news scripts and do film footage. At school, she was also a reporter at FAMU TV and got the opportunity to report on the 2012 Election Night Special and covered a package topic on the religious reasons people do not vote. She also contributed to PBS for one month.
After graduating, Alexis Frazier got her first employment opportunity at KTRE as a multimedia journalist who was tasked with presenting story ideas, covering tough stories like trial and investigation news, and writing web articles daily. After close to 1 and a half years, she moved to South Carolina to work for WOLO TV as an anchor and reporter. Alexi served here for 3 years before moving back to Miami to work as a traffic reporter and anchor for WPLG Local News 10.
