Bethanie Garcia Biography

Bethanie Garcia,28, is an American full-time blogger, Instagram celebrity, and stay-at-home mom to five children. She started her blog, thegarciadiaries.com, with an aim of inspiring women just like her.

Bethanie Garcia Age

Bethanie was born in 1994. She started dating her husband Antony Garcia back in High School. They got married in 2013 and started their family. Sustaining the needs of the family was difficult as the couple did not have a stable and adequate source of income. They depended on government assistance and food stamps to go by the day. In 2014, Bethanie started a blog to document her journey as a mother.

Unexpectedly, the blog began growing as thousands resonated with her life. By 2016, the blog was making $200. By the time the blog was 5 years old, it was making 3 times what Antony made from his job. Bethanie advised him to quit and focus on building the blog. The couple now takes their blog as their full-time job. They are also on Instagram where they have 236k followers.

The success of the blog might sound overnight, but the hard work was always behind the scene. Garcia thought of throwing the towel many times as she saw other bloggers doing. She held on to her dreams because she did not have any other option. After years of writing, re-writing, editing and pitching, things started paying off. What seemed like a hobby became a fully fledge business.

They have five children Brooklynn Alessandra (girl), Harlym Jeter (girl), Deuce (boy, legal name Anthony Elias Garcia II), Bronx Elliot (girl), and newborn Ellis Meli (girl). Their blog has also earned them a decent income. The couple’s net worth is approximately $1 million.  The family lives in the suburbs of Phoenix, AZ.

Bethanie Garcia Story

When it comes to physical appearance, women are the most objectified. Society has painted the picture of a woman and demanded every woman to look that way. These social constructs have made women go to the extent of plastic surgery and unhealthy lifestyle to meet the demand of society.

Those without the capacity to meet these demands, hide in isolation battling low confidence and low self-worth. This was Bethanie Garcia. She was a victim of what society was forcing on women. Television films and movies showed slim women, portrayed as the ideal woman. Garcia had fallen for this misconception leading her to hate her body. She used to starve it and shrink it to make it as small as she desired, but still, she hated it.

In 2014, started a personal blog where she would share her journey as a mom and the mental challenges she struggled with. She also took her personal life to Instagram, to give viewers visuals of her personal life. In an interview with People, Bethanie confessed that she was obsessed with perfection as it appeared to be a routine among many influencers.

She wanted her life to appear perfect. Once, Betharnei was pestering her husband to buy white sheets so that they would look nice on Instagram. After a few years of showing the nice side of her life, Garcia felt drained. She realized that her fans needed to know the other side of her life. She gathered the courage and began posting what she feared most.

Bethanie Garcia Change

She wanted her blog to appear as authentic, real, and raw as possible. This new perspective on life gave her the confidence of sharing the miscarriage she had in 2017. It also encouraged her to appreciate her body, which she had hated so much.

Bethanie began sharing photos of how she looked. The excess weight and stretch marks on her body were seen in the photos she posted. The new Bethanie was not accepted by everyone. A callous of comments thronged her photos criticizing her appearance.

Thousands tore her apart claiming her body was unattractive. This, however, did not deter her from doing what she felt was important to her family and to her own health.

Although there were critics, thousands of others reckoned her for the confidence she had as she spoke to women ashamed of their bodies. Her story has been an inspiration to many as it has been featured on People, Super Nanny and Huffpost. Thousand of women continue following her blog stories because they relate to most of her stories. They have been a huge support to her financially as well as mentally.
