0 The future of Bethel Music Groups is in the Youth. They will be the next seniors leading the group, which is the intention of the founders. Brian Johnson and his wife Jenn Johnson are in to preserve the relevance of the music group as well as maintain the vision to preach the gospel according to the authority of the scripture and lead people to experience God at a personal level. Young leaders such as Dante Bowe, Emmy Rose, Hannah McClure, Paul, and Bethany Wohrle have been selected to be members of Bethel Music Group as a preservation strategy. The latest member to be added to the team is David Funk. The young man has been passionate about music from a young age. We covered his story of how he made it to one of the greatest worship groups in the world.
David Funk Biography
David Funk is a musician, producer, and worship leader at Bethel Music Group. He is also part of the Gable Price and Friends band. David has only featured with Bethel in a song called Touch of Heaven/Alabaster Heart.
David Funk Age and Background
The 20-something-year-old musician was born in North Georgia watching his father playing the piano at their local Church. His father’s passion followed David as he aged. In 10th grade, he started leading worship. When he joined high school, he started playing the guitar and leading worship. During the evenings, he would gather his friends for Bible Study in a circle they called the secret place.
After High School, David joined Bethel School Ministries where he was under Kalley Heiligenthal, who taught and nurtured his talent. David grew up to be a courageous man leading thousands in worship. He was made a member of Bethel in March 2021. He joined the team during the Victory and Roadshow Tour. Since then, David has been active in leading tours and locally in Bethel Church.
David has featured in Bethel with Touch of Heaven which he performed at Bethel Church. David described the experience as a holy moment because he saw God showing up during the show. He also featured Son of Suffering in Bethel’s latest Album Homecoming.
David Funk Wife
David is the husband of Lily Funk. The couple married on September 29th, 2021. Their marriage is 1 year old as of the time of writing of this article. Their union has been blessed by a child called Milo.
David is among the few Christians who have dedicated their lives to serving God through music. His life revolves in worshipping Jesus. His desire is to see other people experiencing the power of Jesus in their lives. When he is not doing music, David loves spending time with his small family and travelling.
