James’ passion for traveling started when he took a year gap with his friends to travel to Southeast Asia for three months. After the trip, the traveling bug hit him. Soon he found himself traveling from country to country experiencing the culture and learning new things while still studying economics at the London School of Economics.
In an interview with business insider, James said each country he visited has its uniqueness. The best country he visited was the United States because of the diversity of cultures in the different states. Next on his list of favorites was European countries also because of the diversity.
He described his visit to Africa as lonely and full of self-reflection because he had just broken up with his girlfriend. Regardless, the countries in Africa were also exciting to experience.

James turned his passion into a money-making opportunity. He left his job to focus on what he loved. Now, he earns millions from people who rent homes around the world through his company.
For the five years he has been running Holiday Swap, James could have accumulated a net worth of approximately $20 million. Asquith is in the path of young men like Caleb Boxx and John Summit who have followed their passions and created wealth out of it.
