Jamie Ivey Biography

Everyone has a story that is the foundation of the things they do today. Jamie Ivey is an American writer, podcaster, writer, and speaker. She is the host of the Podcast The Happy Hour, a weekly podcast that encourages Christians to stand firm on their faith. She has an encouraging story that has been featured on Focus on Family, Life Today, and Better Together. Hosting a podcast was never in her dream, but experience in life pushed her to desire to reach other like her.

Jamie Ivey Age

Jamies was born on 6th March 1978 in Brownsville Texas. She is the wife of Aaron Ivey, a worship Pastor at The Austin Stone Community Church. Jamie and Aaron got married 21 years ago on 22nd June. The couple is blessed with four children; One biological and three adopted from the African American Ethnicity.  The family currently lives in Austin, Texas.

Jamie Ivey Personal Life

Ivey grew up in a Christian home and was baptized at 10 years old. She knew about Jesus but He was never interesting to her. She was interested in getting attention and love from male friends even though she had parents who loved her.

Desiring to get attention from boys led her to drink alcohol and have sex for the first time at age 16. At the sophomore level, while in college, Jamie became pregnant, something she never saw coming. Her parents were angry but encouraged her despite her shortcomings.

She kept the baby hoping to be a good mother but fate had other plans. Jamie had a miscarriage and lost the baby. This loss caused confusion and anxiety in her life since the felt hopeless and powerless because she had no control over what would happen in the future.

When things seemed to be working out, Jamie got pregnant again outside of wedlock. Shame, guilt, and condemnation filled her thoughts and she decided to keep her pregnancy to herself. However, the pregnancy came to light when she got a miscarriage again and this time her parents knew about it but decided to keep it a secret.

Even though the story remained unknown, it continued haunting her for years. But one day, she spilled it all. In fact, she went further and wrote it in a book for everyone to know her story. Now, Jamie’s story is an inspiration to many people who have been struggling with similar problems.

Jamie Ivey Victory Story

She started a Podcast called the Happy Hour where she shares her testimony and interviews other people who have gone through trials and temptations but overcame them after discovering the love of Christ. Ivey also has a blog where she educates people on matters of the Christian faith. Her Podcast has 508 episodes.

She has interviewed people whose journey to finding Christ is inspiring. Some were porn stars and some were Jehova Witnesses. Ivey has interviewed figures such as Mike Todd, Sam Collier, and Tori Hope Peterson. Jamie has also authored  If You Only Knew: My Unlikely, Unavoidable Story of Becoming Free You Be You, God Made You to Be You, and Complement.

Jamie Ivey Tattoo

Ivey has a beautiful bird tattoo on her arm. The tattoo is a representation of her and her children. The tattoo displays a bird on a branch that has a nest with four eggs in it. Behind the bird is a large blue full moon. Aaron also has tattoos. Ivey started drawing tattoos when she was 18. She got the second one at 25 and had the bird tattoo later on.
